Drive Club PS Plus Edition is Dead

It's not gonna happen.

Sony execs were asked about it this weekend, and they said they can't promise that it will ever come out. Which is saying, it won't ever come out.

I feel duped, and I feel like I was tricked into renewing PS Plus.

Vita's Birthday

Today is the Vita's 3rd birthday. So they're having a sale for the "essential" games.

And it ain't pretty. Well the game is. That was widely accepted.
But just about every major site agrees.

Though that last one is skewed 'cause Giantbomb uses 5 stars. So 2/5 stars doesn't seem quite so awful.Plus Jeff's review is mostly positive, he just says to rent it instead of buying it.

Everyone says, hands down the best looking game they've ever seen. It's just a straight forward cover based third person shooter. And it's short. Some leaked complete gameplays turned up on youtube last week showing people beating the game in like 4 hours or less. 100% completion was like 6-8 hours.

To be honest, it all sounds fine to me. I want a AAA looking game that I can actually have time to finish. Screw you Dragon Age and your 100+ hours. I'm a dad dangit!

I can't wait to try it out.

PS Plus Rant Redaction AE

I take back PART of what I said before about PS Plus sales. The new list just dropped while I was typing the last one, and there are a bunch of PS Plus sales. Nothing crazy like 80% off, but they're on 2014s biggest titles, most of which you already own or have played. Child of Light is $6. I may try that out.

Bombcast 2/10/15

I know your time is limited, but skip up to about halfway into last week's Bombcast and hear Jeff's rant about Zelda, it's in the news portion about a rumored Zelda Netflix series.
It's pretty great.

End of Beyond

Greg and Colin's last week was, well, last week. I watched it, Greg's an emotional guy so it was pretty heart wrenching to watch him sob at the end as he gave up his pride and joy. I still think it's a huge mistake to leave. Both sides will suck now.
Marty and Max take over this week. I've already unsubscribed.

Shulk Amiibo

Shulk is a Gamestop exclusive Amiibo, and he sold out of preorders in a few hours back in December. Gamestop opened it up again for online ordering and because of reasons I got one just before it was sold out. So hopefully I can use it as trade bait. I really want to swap someone for their mega man amiibo, because those are nowhere to be found.
It arrives in May. Yes, May.

Screw PS Plus

It has now been over a month, with 4 weekly updates and 2 flash sales, and ZERO PS Plus sales. 

So the games are meh at best, zero sales, and mandatory online. I'm not so sure I'm going to renew. I wish I hadn't bought a year's worth, I've still got 6 months.

Which I guess give them a chance to fix it, but it's looking like they hooked everyone and are now phasing out the good stuff, leaving us with $50/yr multiplayer. At least, until they double the rates.

Rogue Legacy, the good

Really funny traits and classes. Even though Knaves are worthless, sometimes they get me to play as a worser class just to see what the trait plays like.
Very clever.

This effing game. I've put in 5 hours and got one trophy. It's effing impossible!
How am i supposed to unlock anything decent when I'm getting 10 gold every 7th kill? C'mon. And there are like 20 upgrade trails with 75 levels on each? Way to stingy.

Sony Drops "The Last Guardian"

The Last Guardian, at least the name of the game, is dead. Sony let the trademark rights lapse and not renew. So if the game is still in development, it won't be called that anymore. Probably wise, because even if it was decent people would flip out that it wasn't the greatest ever.
